Sci-Fi Aztec Nail Art

Last month I had the honour of doing a 'Nail Swap' with the talented Coewless on Instagram. She had done this amazing tribal design that I was dying to recreate!

Below is the final image, with the originals on the left and the copied nails on the right.

This design was super easy to do! I started with a base of Miss Sporty club colours in no. 1, which is the silver base. Then with a thin nail brush and black and white acrylic paint, I carefully painted on the tribal design. I added China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy to the triangle on the middle finger and then I was done!

Black Dotted Gradient

So I was looking through my nail polishes trying to find one of them that I haven't used before and I came across China Glaze - Flip Flop Fantasy. This is a beautiful neon peachy colour that is just absolutely perfect for the Summer and I just had to use it in some way.

To start off, I first painted one coat of base coat onto my nails. The one I am currently using is OPI Nail Envy. I then painted two thin coats of Flip Flop Fantasy onto my nails.

In the end I decided on a simple dot gradient that I made using China Glaze - Liquid Leather and some dotting tools. This design was really simple to do and definitely one that I will be doing again but in different colours.
