I'm Back

Hi Everyone! I'm finally back after a 13 month break! For those of you wondering, I was away as I was working in a lab for a year, so was unable to paint my nails at all. Not even a clear nail strengthener. I was awful at first but then I got used to it. Now that's over and I'm back at uni for my final year, and I can start this up again! My nails aren't in the best condition, and I'm pretty out of practice with the art (as you can probably tell from the photo) so it'll take me a month or two to get back to how I was, but I'm really looking forward to starting this up again.

So yeah, thanks for sticking with me and hopefully you'll like what I'm going to be doing!

Blue Roses On A Striped Base

Today's mani is slightly inspired by the colours used in Jack Wills. As you can see I stuck with the pink, but instead of having dark blue stripes I decided to turn the blue into roses. I feel this gives it a unique twist to the classic pink and blue that Jack Wills is known for.

To create this design I started out with a base of China Glaze - Feel the Breeze, which by the way is the perfect pink polish anyone could own. It's formulation is perfect and is fully opaque in one coat. Then, with a striping brush I used China Glaze - Snow to add the stripes and topped with a coat of Seche Vite.  Finally, I used acrylic paint and Cheeky Nail Art brushes to paint on the blue roses.
Make sure to like my page on Facebook to know when I'll be uploading new designs and also my Instagram, both of which are linked in the side bar.
